Thursday January 5, 2012

I could not do Meltdown first off, as my sick son was still asleep near where it would play. Instead I did ICP before breakfast.

My target reps are:
18 pushups (on knees)
19 squats
14 Spiderman (counting each side)
6 Russian twist (counting each side)
7 Shoulder press (3kg)

Times were:
2m 50.5s
2m 50.8s
2m 48s

Now I will have some breakfast. It will have to be easy, as we are going out for morning tea soon. I will just have a banana and Greek yoghurt.

At our friend's place for morning tea, I only had dry gluten free rice crackers that had no forbidden stuff - no cheese or dips with peppermint tea.

For lunch, I had a cooked veggie mixture (mushrooms, onions, tomatoes and carrots) with a small cabbage salad with a few walnuts. Dessert was a lovely sweet piece of watermelon.

Then I did the short mobility matrix, followed by Meltdown. Annette's sheet was very useful for record keeping.
My densities were:
Pushups / squats:               48/42  (Pushups on knees)
Shoulder press/sbl:             46/39 (3 kg dumbell)
Spidey/stl:                          27/18
Curl and press/ sq              23/43

By this time it was after 5.30, so I did a swift walk up to the shopping centre and back to get our mail. That was a fairly mild cardio of about 25 minutes.

Dinner was smoked salmon with lettuce, tomato, red capsicum and spring onion salad. Also a potato salad with Greek yoghurt and a few walnuts.

Finally completed Power Circuit, but with 20 reps and 10 walkouts. That was enough for me!

Well, I am pleased I managed to fit in all four workouts. I found Meltdown quite tough and hope I can improve my fitness and flexibility. I can certainly feel my osteo-arthritis kicking in on many of the movements I have been making today.
